Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Kenny Rogers will headline THE Concert, an annual benefit for Phoenix Symphony, on Saturday, Oct. 29.
Led by Virginia G. Piper Music Director Michael Christie, the Symphony will accompany Rogers on a journey through his illustrious career, one that spans over 40 years and has produced 120 million records sold, 24 No. 1 hits, 19 Platinum albums, 31 Gold albums, and the distinction of being named “Favorite Singer of All-Time,” by USA Today and People.
“I can’t think of a more exciting and entertaining way to kick off the Symphony’s 2011-12 season than with the amazing talent of Kenny Rogers, together with the superb musicianship of the Phoenix Symphony,” said Nan Howlett, Chair of THE Concert and THE Encore, an evening of music, dinner and dancing that follows the Rogers performance. “Most of all I am thrilled to partner with our Symphony patrons and community to support the Symphony’s vital Education and Community Outreach programs through this exciting event.”
Tickets for THE Concert range from $75-$150 and tickets for the entire evening of events, including THE Concert and THE Encore start at $500. For more information call 602-495-1117 x425 or visit the Symphony web site.
