Braaaainssss. BrAAinsss. BRAAAINSS.
little-zombie-brainsThat’s the murmur you’re likely to hear as a hoard of 10,000 zombies descends on Downtown Phoenix this Saturday – but it’s also one of the things your little zombies will be learning about at the Arizona Science Center’s Little Zombie Zone.
Watch as our resident scientist slices and dices a zombie’s favorite food…BrAAainS! What are the functions of the left and right hemispheres, how does blood feed the brain and how is brain health vital to learning and survival?  Join us to find the answers to these questions and more.
The fun for the little ones continues with spooky family photo ops, sugar skull decorating, face painting, a zombie haiku station and more.
This family-friendly event is FREE to attend and a canned food donation to St. Mary’s Food Bank gets you a date with a volunteer makeup artist.
For the full-grown zombies, the fun continues well into the night with live bands, a beer garden, food, craft and makeup vendors and, of course, a slow-paced shuffle through the core of Downtown at dusk.
Where: Heritage and Science Park
When: 2 – 11 p.m. Arizona Science Center Little Zombie Zone runs until 5:30 p.m.
