Valentine’s Day is here yet again, causing anxiety amongst the lovebirds, and generating eye rolls from proud singles.
But from Hard Rock Cafe’s Anti-Valentine’s Day “Kiss-Off” to candlelit dinners hosted by several favorite restaurants, Downtown Phoenix has something for everyone—both romantics and skeptics alike. Here is the list of Downtown events, deals and dinners this Friday, February 14.

The head chef at Blue Hound has crafted a tasty five-course menu just for the occasion, which includes a glass of Mumm. $85 per person. Napa cocktail or wine pairing available at $35 per person.
Compass Arizona Grill – Valentine’s Day Dinner

Who doesn’t love wine? Kincaid’s has created a Valentine-themed four-course dinner perfect for the wine-lover in us all. The Valen-Wine dinner features a wine pairing at every course. $50 per person.

Hard Rock Café Phoenix – Anti-Valentine’s Day “Kiss-Off”
This Valentine’s Day, Hard Rock Cafe is hosting a special KISS takeover event as part of their partnership with the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees for the brand’s acclaimed Signature Series Lineup. The “Kiss-Off” features a live performance by KISS ALIVE–the ultimate KISS tribute band. The event starts at 9 p.m. and is $10 at the door.

Stand Up Live!
Ditch the prix fixe dinners for a night out at one of the best comedy spots around. Comedian Whitney Cummings will be on stage at Stand Up Live this Friday. She appears regularly on Chelsea Lately and has appeared on Comedy Centrals Roasts. Her one-hour stand up special, Money Shot, premiered on Comedy Central in August 2010 and was nominated for an American Comedy Award later that year. $28.
Valley Youth Theatre
Spend your Friday night seeing the non-profit theatre group’s adaptation of The Jungle Book. They even have a special Valentine’s Day deal.
