Urban Wine Walk isn’t just about the restaurants, wine and food—though that’s certainly a plus. UWW is about the experience: Spending time with friends, making new ones, embracing the urban way of life and, of course, creating long-lasting memories.

Just ask Michael Denson and Charith Norvelle, the Downtown duo whom inadvertently had their first date at last year’s Urban Wine Walk and coincidentally are getting married the same day as the 2014 Urban Wine Walk, this Saturday, May 17.
According to Denson and Norvelle, they were as surprised as we were when they found out the two events fell on the same date. What seemed like a casual date last year, is now an occasion worth celebrating.
And when they’re not enjoying a glass of red, the pair often collaborates on mixed-media art and acrylic paintings. They just finished a piece for their last show at New City Studio, but they also have their own Etsy store, which has helped them pay for their wedding.
The two won’t be attending this year, since they’ll be a little busy tying the knot and all. However, Walkers who make their way up to the 14th floor pool deck at CityScape Residences should take a good look at the stunning view of South Mountain, where you just may see the lovely couple exchanging their wedding vows.
So call up your friends and loved ones–or the girl or boy you’ve been dying to talk to–and plan on making this Saturday a day to remember. Each participating restaurant will have three $2 or $3 wine samples and delicious treats, so you can refuel as you make your way along the Light Rail corridor. You can find the full list here. Oh, and don’t forget, the first 300 people to stop at CityScape Residences will receive a free commemorative wine glass.
