The Renaissance Hotels group carries a reputation for being edgy, hip and urban. But through a new TV series launched in 2014 called “The Navigator Live,” featuring live performances by today’s top touring musicians, it’s pushing the envelope even further.
On Monday, Sept. 21 from 7-10 p.m., the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel will host a free block party on Adams Street featuring indie-electro sensation Cut/Copy, which airs on season two of “The Navigator Live.”
During the day, a documentary crew will follow the Aussie band around while exploring Phoenix — then in the evening, we’re all invited to catch the main event.
“The Navigator Live” aims to capture today’s young business travelers, who are also culture and thrill seekers.
This 21-and-over event features complimentary appetizers from the Renaissance kitchen, cash bar and fabulous street eats for purchase.
Guests of the hotel will be getting the VIP treatment, but it’s free and open to the public, as space permits. All you have to do is RSVP online to get your name on the list.
So far, season two of “The Navigator Live” has featured AWOLNATION in Dallas, A-Trak in Long Beach and The Lone Bellow in Washington D.C. The series airs nationally on AXS TV and plays in-room at Renaissance properties, with highlights available on YouTube.
After filming is complete, Cut/Copy will share their personally-curated guide to Phoenix, along with what inspires them while on the road. So don’t miss history in the making.
