Need a little pep in your step to take on the holidays? Shake off the weekday blues with some hot sake and a nice cold beer after a long, hard day at work. It’t the perfect time of year for happy hour on the Squid Ink Sushi patio, located at CityScape Phoenix.
And with the new CitySkate ice rink on Central Avenue, you’ll have front-row seats to some pretty amazing people-watching too.
The food options include everything from sushi to yakitori, so it’s easy to make it a meal. For $3 off the menu price, the Rainbow Roll is a filling favorite with avocado, tuna, salmon and yellowtail wrapped around a California Roll.

If you’re in the mood for small bites, the selection of $4 items is an awesome deal – with your choice of shrimp nigiri, salmon nigiri or edamame.
According to Joanne Montepagano, marketing manager at Squid Ink Sushi, the happy hour menu got a complete re-do in September, with a focus on gluten-free and healthier options, in addition to the usual drink promotions.

For sake and specialty cocktails, this is the place to be. The Deep Water, which is just $5 during happy hour, is a light and fruity mix of vodka, watermelon liqueur and citrus.
Looking for something with a bit more punch? The Phuket Sun combines Bols Genever, a malty Dutch gin, with lemon, pineapple, bitters and a dash of Monin Almond Syrup for an exotic, yet perfectly accessible cocktail.
