Feast Your Eyes on Five New (And Crazy) Things to Eat at Chase Field
April 7, 2017 by Lauren Potter
Not going to lie: I know nothing about baseball (or sport in general, really). But there’s something I love about catching a D-backs game at Chase Field… For this Aussie raised in the outback, it all just feels so darn American.
And speaking of which, what would American baseball be without outrageous food? I don’t even want to know.
This year the Arizona Diamondbacks have stepped things up a notch (or three) and introduced several new and crazy menu items to make your game day memorable — and Instagrammable. For venue maps and menus, visit the Diamondbacks website.
Foot long hot dog smothered in hot chili, cheese sauce, freshly fried tater tots and a zig-zag of sour cream. Served on a soft white bun. $11. Get it at Big Dawgs in Section 126.
Churro Dog 2.0
Oreo-crusted churro wedged between an iced long john donut smothered in scoops of frozen yogurt, whipped cream, strawberry topping and Oreo crumbles. $10.50. Find it at Sweet Treat Dessert Carts in Sections 114, 123 and 315.
Funnel Cake Chicken Sandwich
Crispy chicken fillet with garlic black pepper cheddar and strawberry jam served between two funnel cakes and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Oh, and don’t forget the side of maple syrup. $10.50. Order it at Taste of Chase in Section 130.
Sonoran Vegan Burger
Meat-free burger patty, vegan pepper jack cheese, soy chorizo, chipotle veganaise and a heaping pile of guacamole. Served on a wheat bun. $9.50. We couldn’t resist getting an extra side of fries, too. $5.75. Find them at Red Hot in Section 139.
Pretzel Crusted Brownie Sticks
Just as it sounds — this sweet treat consists of two triple chocolate brownies, rolled in a crust of crushed pretzels. Served with a side of caramel raspberry sauce. $8. Get it at Big Dawgs in Section 126.
