Downtown Phoenix Inc. and the Arizona Hemophilia Association teamed up last year to present Zombie Walk 8 in the Phoenix Warehouse District, and it’s back on Saturday, Oct. 28. (Video: Arizona Hemophilia Association)
If you haven’t heard, the Arizona Hemophilia Association is bringing the Downtown Phoenix Zombie Walk back Saturday, Oct. 28. The event is slated to be bigger, better, and the gutsiest – most charitable – one of them all!
Thousands of the undead will gather in front of Chase Field on Fourth and Jackson streets for a slow-paced shuffle through the Downtown Phoenix Warehouse District in support of programs and services for those with inherited bleeding disorders.
Gates open at 3 p.m., the walk will start around dusk at 7 p.m., and the party continues until 11 p.m.
This year’s Zombie Walk has lots of great things in store.
John Holmberg from local radio station KUPD returns for another year as the Zombie Walk grand marshal. Zombies can enjoy live music by local bands including Bear Ghost as well as a costume contest, food trucks, zombie vendors, and cold adult beverages for those 21 and over.
Little zombies will have their own kid zone with fun activities, and as always, a Zombification Station will provided undead makeovers to die for.
Participation in this popular family-friendly event is $10. All proceeds go to producing the event, and to programs and services provided by the Arizona Hemophilia Association.
RSVP on Facebook or visit zombiewalkphx.org for more details.
