We’re kicking off the holiday season in Downtown Phoenix with an all-ages snuggle under the stars. So bust out your favorite comfies, bring some blankets, and cozy up in your favorite urban park for a night of movies and holiday fun.

Downtown Phoenix Inc.’s signature holiday event, PJs in the Park, returns to Civic Space Park on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 5-10 p.m.

Now in its seventh year, PJ’s in the Park invites the community to share in the splendor that is our evolving downtown neighborhood.

This year’s feature presentations are “The Muppet Christmas Carol” (rated G) and “Love Actually” (rated R), which means there’s free entertainment for little ones and date night seekers alike. The evening’s biggest star attraction, Santa himself, will be available for photos (and to hear wishes from those on his “Nice” list) from 5-8 p.m. There will not be photographers onsite, so be sure to bring your own camera.

Here’s the best part: PJs in the Park is 100 percent free to attend.

Hungry? We’ve got that covered. Hidden Track Cafe will be on hand selling snacks and adult beverages to those 21 and older, and Serafina Coffee Roasters will be pouring hot cocoa and specialty coffee drinks.

Downtown Phoenix Inc. produces PJs in the Park to activate one of downtown’s award-winning public spaces and to offer families from all over the Valley a fun and free holiday treat.
