The sun is shining, it’s 60 degrees outside – and snowing? Snow Week at the Arizona Science Center returns Dec. 26. through Jan. 1., blanketing Heritage and Science Park with more than 100 tons of snow for sledding, snowmen, snow angels and lots of frozen fun. The Arizona Science Center hosts this yearly event, inviting desert dwellers to experience a mini winter wonderland without ever leaving Downtown Phoenix.
In addition to lots of family-friendly special programming going on throughout the week, New Year’s Eve will be extra magical with a Harry Potter-themed Yule Ball, featuring crafts, activities and demonstrations. And be sure to catch the “Cosmic Playground” special exhibit before it ends January 13 — an opportunity to climb, slide and explore the galaxy in a space-inspired experience.
The week is jam-packed with snow and science fun for the whole family. Outdoor snow play is free with general admission to the Science Center ($18 for adults and $13 for kids). For more information and pricing, visit azscience.org.
