Phoenix coffee and food enthusiasts will soon have a new place to grab a cup of joe, a delicious breakfast, and even some sushi to-go in the heart of the Phoenix Warehouse District.
Located at 515 E. Grant Street, The Larry PHX is slated to open next to Galvanize, the tech education and entrepreneurship campus, at the end of June.
The brainchild of local food and beverage entrepreneurs Kyu Utsunomiya and Troy Watkins, The Larry PHX will bring a globally-inspired menu to the historic 1941 building.
The idea is to serve the growing number of entrepreneurs, students and tech workers at Galvanize as well as other companies and creative firms in the Warehouse District, like WebPT, Gould Evans and others.
The exact menu is still being developed, but you can expect a balance between globally-inspired healthy options and classic comfort food.
A pizza oven is slated for the space, so get ready for fresh pies, along with grab-and-go sushi, burgers, sandwiches, an array of salads, breakfast sandwiches, bowls and more.
While enjoying a bite to eat, diners can enjoy a variety of beverages including kombucha on tap. Those needing more of a buzz won’t be disappointed, as The Larry PHX will have a similar coffee program to their sister space, Be: Coffee + Food + Stuff.
And for all your happy hour needs, there will be a bar serving beer and wine (and no doubt some happy hour shenanigans).

The restaurant will also offer an app for members of Galvanize, allowing employees of the more than 100 businesses in the space to order food and drinks directly from their phone and have them delivered to their desk.
Flexible, community-style seating is in the pipeline for the space. Beautiful exposed bricks give the space warmth, while light pours through the large roll-up windows where the loading bays once operated back when the building was General Sales Co. Wholesale Grocery Warehouse.
Already a burgeoning neighborhood of creativity and innovation, the Warehouse District is now attracting restaurateurs and nightlife entrepreneurs.
