The Downtown Phoenix Community Development Corporation
The Downtown Phoenix Community Development Corporation (DPCDC) is a nonprofit organization formed in 2001 to attract affordable and attainable housing to the Downtown Phoenix area.
The DPCDC played a significant role in the establishment of the Phoenix Public Market, The Lofts at McKinley and the Downtown Phoenix Urban Form Project. The organization is driven by the needs of the downtown residential community and focuses on smart urban design, density and how the built environment interacts with pedestrians.
Governed by a separate board of directors from the Downtown Phoenix Partnership, Phoenix Community Alliance and Downtown Phoenix Inc., DPCDC relies on grants and separate funding sources to further its goal of urban revitalization.
