The Arizona Pet Project keeps pets with the people who love and need them most by connecting our vulnerable community members and families in crisis with services and resources to prevent the unnecessary surrender of their beloved companions.

At Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona we believe everyone needs a decent, affordable place to call home. As a local Arizona charity, we’ve been privileged to build and repair homes in Phoenix, Tempe, Glendale, Peoria and all of Maricopa County.

Through the collaborative approach of the Human Services Campus, hundreds of clients have daily access to social support services, job assistance, convenience items, behavioral health, legal services and more. Public and private partnerships have been and continue to be the backbone of our organization – our successes are a result of the cooperative and collaborative work of the many compassionate, progressive visionaries in our Valley of the Sun community.

With our world-class care and programs, we embrace all children and their families as they navigate life-limiting or end-of-life journeys through:

  • Palliative and respite care that addresses the emotional, spiritual, and social needs of the family
  • Continuity of care from diagnosis to end-of-life
  • Expert care provided by our prestigious care partners and highly-trained staff
  • A loving community that offers ongoing support and compassion

Workforce

So many people are just barely getting by, living one paycheck away from losing their homes. And then, a medical crisis happens. No money, no food, no HOPE. That’s why Circle the City is here to help.

We are a federally qualified, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization on a mission to provide lifesaving healthcare to people facing homelessness. With your generous support, more than 8,000 people a year receive our healthcare services. Learn more about our innovative care and how together we can provide HOPE and HEALING to people in need.

Elaine connects Arizona’s homeless and underserved (e.g. low income, uninsured, seniors) to social and community services vital to an individual’s health and wellbeing. By providing empathetic and accessible transportation, we reduce barriers to the Social Determinants of Health including:

  • Healthcare – Medical appointments and prescription refills
  • Food access – Grocery store and food boxes
  • Employment – Interviews and day jobs
  • Housing – Interviews and lease signings
  • Criminal Justice – Court and case management appointments
  • Economic Opportunity – DES and bank visits
  • Educational Opportunity – Parenting and financial literacy courses
  • Social and Cultural Cohesion – Community centers and support groups
  • Critical errands – Laundry, mobile phone providers etc.

From the 1980s until present day, Nourish Phoenix, formerly ICM Food and Clothing Bank, has had a rich history in providing services for the working poor in Phoenix.

We believe that no matter the situation, each individual should have hope and dignity when facing the extreme adversity that life hands us. We believe that each piece of clothing, each piece of food, each item received is one-by-one changing the world for good.

At SJW their mission is to connect the Valley’s disadvantaged, homeless, and transitioning individuals to quality jobs. They do this by providing support, resources, and tools necessary for becoming employable. SJW hopes that by creating this connection, they will become independent and lead healthier lives that benefit their community and families.

LGBT+/Youth

Genesis City provides poverty-level 14-21 year olds (the majority of whom are the first in their families to graduate from high school) the opportunity to re-access the education pipeline and blossom into successful life-long learners and civically engaged community members.

At New Pathways for Youth, we are building a future where every young person can live their life with joy and purpose, confident in their ability to decide their own path. To make it happen, we provide 1:1 mentoring with a dedicated adult and a proven program for personal growth, including tailored goal-setting and connection to vital resources, all within a supportive peer group.

Youth Centers are a safe and free space for LGBTQ Youth and Allies to be themselves, have fun, meet friends, and obtain resources, food, and support.

Skye’s the Limit was founded in light of the trauma-related overdose of 19-year-old Skye Gina Ratcliffe Pilato on September 30, 2014. After two suicide attempts, Skye resorted to drugs to numb the pain she was feeling in isolation. In her honor, Skye’s the Limit now educates the community on trauma, harm reduction, and self-care and works to provide safe spaces for youth to speak out, express themselves, and ask for help.

We provide affirming and inclusive services to promote well-being and advance health equity for diverse communities and all those seeking compassionate care – especially people of color, LGBTQIA2S+ and Queer individuals, and those affected by HIV.

We envision a just and equitable world where who we are is embraced in all spaces – especially in barrier-free access to health and wellness – leading each of us to live a full, rich, and authentic life.

The Trevor Project’s mission is to end suicide among LGBTQ young people. More than 1.8 million LGBTQ young people seriously consider suicide each year in the U.S. and could benefit from our services. Our trained counselors connect with LGBTQ young people 24/7, 365 days a year.
