Ah, summer. That glorious time of year filled with barbecues, lounging by the pool and, what’s that? Your kids have already uttered that phrase? The one that strikes terror into your heart?
children's museumThey’re (gosh, I don’t even want to type it) bored?
Well, never fear! Mighty Mouse, er, free stuff on First Friday is here!
Packs those little ones into the car and head over to the Children’s Museum of Phoenix for free entry from 5 to 9 p.m. The hands-on, highly interactive exhibits are sure to keep kiddos 10 and under entertained for a few hours. Don’t skip the Noodle Forest or the fort building room. And, good news! Admission is free every First Friday.
If you’re more in the mood to enjoy the night air before things get too toasty, Civic Space Park will have free kid’s activities, live music and performances from 7 to 10 p.m. And, once the kids get all tuckered out, you can lay on the grass and gaze up at the glowing sculpture – it’s like cloud watching but significantly more stationary.
