Valley resident and jazz icon Dennis Rowland will be joined by a star-studded lineup of musicians at the Eighth Annual “Blast from the Past” Caberet on Friday Nov. 13 at the Herberger Theater.
Blast from the PastJoined by friends Shining Star and a fleet of special guests performing your favorite songs from the last four decades, “Blast from the Past” promises to be a night of music to remember.
Rowland is an immensely talented and world-renowned jazz vocalist born and raised in Detroit. After honing his deep and rich voice throughout the early 1970s, Rowland toured with childhood idol Count Basie and went on to share the stage with such superstars as Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald and Tony Bennett.
The  “Blast from the Past” evening includes hors d’oeuvre cocktail reception, entertainment by the Nick Heward Trio, martini bar, and prize wheel. Proceeds from “Blast from the Past” Cabaret benefit the Herberger Theater’s Youth Outreach Programs.
