Aaron-MayRestaurants continue to dominate retail leasing in Downtown Phoenix.  Last week Downtown welcomed one new restaurant, Viet Kitchen in the ground floor of the Orpheum Lofts, and expects another soon in the form of Aaron May’s (pictured) Vitamin T at CityScape.
It seems restaurants are on the way back!  As reported in the Phoenix Business Journal , the National Restaurant Association estimates that dining revenues will increase 2.5 percent in 2010, a sign that consumers nationwide are once again heading out to eat.  Downtown Phoenix has weathered the recession fairly well as restaurant and bar sales for the Downtown area have risen 9.0 percent in the third quarter of 2010 when compared with the same period of 2009.  As the quality and diversity of Downtown dining increase, we look forward to continued and sustained growth in 2011.
The Downtown Phoenix Partnership is organizing the perfect event to sample what area restaurants have to offer.  On December 4, the inaugural Downtown Dine-Around will give patrons an opportunity to purchase discounted, smaller portioned dishes from 10 restaurants located in the core.
