The growing roster of restaurants at CityScape will add another key player in June with the opening of Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery, the popular chain’s fifth location in the Valley.
When LGO Public House pulled out of Downtown’s entertainment district earlier this month due to ventilation issues, there were whispers that other restaurants in the works, including Tilted Kilt, would follow suit.
Not so, according to President Ron Lynch, who says Tilted Kilt is eager to open Downtown and pushing hard for a June 15 debut.
“Besides the people that work and live Downtown there is also professional basketball, baseball, concerts, and all the events happening at the convention center,” said Lynch. “The people that travel Downtown for those events on the light rail will depart the train in front of our location.
“CityScape will be the entertainment and mixed-use project in Downtown Phoenix and will provide some elements that have been missing from Downtown that really create urban living, like a grocery store and pharmacy.”
TiltedkiltgirlsSo what can someone who has never visited a Tilted Kilt expect?
“A great fun atmosphere. A place for all of your friends to meet pregame and have some great food to eat, and a great place to come post game for a cold beer,” said Lynch.
“After all a cold beer at the Tilted Kilt never looked so good.”
And as for the space vacated by LGO, there have already been serious talks with a possible replacement. And a very exciting one at that.
