AZCentral is reporting that the City of Phoenix has come to an agreement to build an outpatient clinical cancer center near Fillmore and Seventh Street on the Phoenix Biomedical Campus.  The City Council is expected to approve $14 million to initiate the process at the May 18 council meeting.  The 250,000-square-foot facility could begin construction by the end of 2012 and upon completion would be able to handle 200,000 patient visits a year.  The remainder of the $135 million cost will be funded through private donations to be raised by the University of Arizona Foundation.
