McKinleyLocal dignitaries gathered Wednesday Aug. 8 to celebrate the groundbreaking of Downtown’s newest housing project.  The Lofts at McKinley will be built at the northeast corner of 5th Avenue & McKinley in the historic Roosevelt neighborhood.  The 60-unit complex will provide affordable housing to seniors with rents ranging from $490-$900 for qualified residents.
Mayor Phil Gordon and District 7 Councilman Michael Nowakowski were in attendance to commemorate the official start of construction and thank those who made the project possible.  The Lofts at McKinley are financed by low-income housing tax credits and HOME funds and being developed jointly by Gorman and Company, the Arizona Bridge to Independent Living, and the Downtown Phoenix Community Development Corporation.  For more information on the Lofts at McKinley please visit:  Lofts at McKinley Breaks Ground in Phoenix.
