Join Valley METRO for a bike ride to Chase Field to watch the Diamondbacks take on the Braves, and enjoy a full day of bike-centric activities during the 2012 Great Bike Chase this Sunday, April 22.
Group rides originating from several different locations will converge at Chase Field at 10:30 a.m. for an expo featuring free bike valet, bike rodeo, entertainment and snacks, plus drawings for prizes.
The baseball game starts at 1:10 p.m. and discounted tickets are available that support METRO bike programs.
Proceeds from the 2011 ride helped fund the fabrication of 11 bike racks (see photo), the first of which will be installed on Monday, Feb. 6, at Carly’s Bistro (128 E. Roosevelt). Installations are also planned for Blooming Rock, Cibo, Tucan Properties, Harder Development, Advantage Logistics SW, Buttertoast Boutique, CO+HOOTS, Dukes Sports Bar, The Centers for Habilitation, and Stadium Lofts.
