cocktail-glassIt’s coming down to the final hours as 16 Downtown bars and restaurants fight it out to be named The Most Spirited Cocktail of 2012 in the inaugural Spirits of the Season competition.
With over 600 votes cast, this specialty seasonal cocktail competition is heating up as the five leading cocktails close in on the title.
Currently in the top five spots (in no particular order) are the Winter Wizard at Copper Blues, “Winter in Rio” Dulce de Leche Martini at Province Phoenix, Wild Turkey Cranberry Cobbler at The Duce, Santa’s Bellini at District American Kitchen and Wine Bar and the Pumpkin Smoretini at ICON Lounge.
The Most Spirited Holiday Cocktail of 2012 will be announced Dec. 21 and celebrated at a special happy hour at the winning establishment at 6 p.m. Look for the winner to be announced on Downtown Phoenix’s Facebook page.
Voting will take place online until Dec. 20 at 5 p.m. – so get those votes in while you still can.  All cocktails will be available through New Year’s Eve.
Participating restaurants include The Strand Urban Italian, District American Kitchen and Wine Bar, ICON Lounge, Province, Legends Sports Bar & Restaurant, Copper Blues, Thai Basil Signature Downtown, Majerle’s Sports Grill, Networks Bar and Grill, The Duce, Seamus McCaffrey’s Irish Pub and Restaurant, Kincaid’s, Blue Hound Kitchen and Cocktails, Hard Rock Café, Frank Murray’s Turf Irish Pub and 1130 The Restaurant.
