tedx-evansA free live streaming of the TED2013 conference will take place on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. to 7:45 p.m., at FilmBar, 815 N. Second St. in Downtown Phoenix. The recently formed TEDxEvansChurchill planning committee of the Evans Churchill Community Association is organizing the event.
This year’s TED2013 – “The Young. The Wise. The Undiscovered.” – is organized by TED, the nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. TED2013 is being held in Long Beach, California through March 1 and brings together a record number of storytellers, technologists, activists, educators, photographers, scientific pioneers, visionaries, artists, and provocateurs from all parts of the globe to the TED stage. The TED2013 program features 70+ speakers, 33 of whom were discovered during a six-continent global talent search held last summer that spanned 14 cities.
Wednesday’s live stream consists of four distinct sessions: Disrupt!, Dream!, Create!, and Sustain! Guests are welcome to attend one, a few, or all sessions. An Evans Churchill Community Association member will introduce each session:

– Noon, Dream!, Dorina Bustamante, ECCA Chair, Events & Partnerships< - 3:15 p.m., Create!, Cory Kincaid, ECCA Chair, Marketing & Communications - 6 p.m., Sustain!, Jim McPherson, ECCA Co-chair, Historic Preservation & Infill Changing Hands Bookstore of Tempe will distribute gift cards as prizes to select (lucky) attendees.
