He’s the man who taught you to change a tire. Or at least gave you his AAA card when you couldn’t figure it out. He’s the fellow who made fish sticks and spaghetti for dinner when Mom was gone. The guy who let you jump off that big rock at the lake one summer.

Visit The Children’s Museum of Phoenix
If pops is wrangling the kids around, head over to the Children’s Museum. They’re offering free admission for all fathers and grandfathers. After the kids tucker themselves out at the interactive exhibits, dad can get a nice brunch at Steve’s Greenhouse Grill. Children’s Museum of Phoenix is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Father’s Day Brunch at Steve’s Greenhouse Grill
Steve’s Greenhouse Grill is offering a Father’s Day brunch buffet, complete with breakfast and bunch items. A Father’s Day meal wouldn’t be complete without some great beer and drink specials as well. The brunch buffet will be served from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. $11.95 for adults and $7.95 for kids.
Brunch at District American Kitchen and Wine Bar
If dad is a do-it-yourself kind of man, then the omelet station at District American Kitchen is for him. Along with that there’ll be the necessary juices and coffee, and bloody mary’s and mimosas. Prices are $24 for adults, $12 for kids, kids 3 and younger eat free. Reservations are required, so call 602-817-5400 or visit districtrestaurant.com.
Trivia Night at Crescent Ballroom
Go head to head with dad in a battle of wits at Crescent Ballroom’s Trivia Night. Show Dad you know a thing or two and win yourself prizes including tickets and gift cards for Crescent Ballroom. This is a music venue after all, so DJ Bruce will be playing music in between games. Also enjoy drink and food specials. Starts at 6 p.m.
Stand Up Live
Give dad something else to laugh at besides you. Comedian DeRay Davis, who won the Comedy Central Laugh Riots Competition and was on the Cedric the Entertainer Tour will perform at Stand Up Live. The times vary so call 480-719-6100 or visit standuplive.com. Tickets are $22 with a two-drink minimum.
Valley Youth Theatre at Herberger Theater Center
Like most animated films there are always jokes for the folks to enjoy along with the kids. Shrek is no exception. See the Valley Youth Theatre perform Shrek the Musical at Herberger Theater Center- Center Stage. The times vary with tickets starting at $16.50.
Dad-ology at Arizona Science Center
You and dad will have free range to race potatoes, create electric circuits and even demolish electronics. All this can be yours with free admission at the Dad-ology event at Arizona Science Center.
