USAC plaza nightThe Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury will host a monetary donation drive July 2 in support of the families and victims affected by the Yarnell wildfire. All proceeds from the drive will benefit the 100 Club of Arizona and be used to assist survivors, cover costs for flights of family members of the victims, help the injured and purchase replacement equipment for the Prescott Fire Department.
Monetary donations will be accepted inside the Casino Arizona Pavilion at US Airways Center from 10:30 a.m. – 7 p.m., prior to the Mercury’s matchup against the New York Liberty. Those who donate will receive a Phoenix Suns or Phoenix Mercury t-shirt, and be entered to win Suns’ and Mercury autographed merchandise.
The Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury are currently hosting the teams’ 11th annual overnight youth basketball camp in Prescott, a five-day camp that has tied the two organizations to northern Arizona and its residents for all those years.
In addition, the Phoenix Mercury and Cold Stone Creamery® are hosting a blood drive at US Airways Center tomorrow, benefiting the American Red Cross, from 10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. Mercury President & COO Amber Cox will tipoff the blood drive by being the first to donate at 10:30 a.m.
