Zombie Walk 5 was the biggest and craziest yet with an unofficial estimate of 20,000 people at the festival and 12,000 on the walk. And what better to encapsulate the energy that night than photos? We loved all of them, but we thought we’d pick a few of our favorites from Instagram to share.

You voted them and they delivered their roles graciously. Our Zombie King and Queen were crowd pleasers. And as you can see — they weren’t given, but earned and deserved, their title.

John Holmberg from 98 KUPD’S Morning Sickness wowed the crowd with his Zombie getup.

There were more than a few selfies taken that night with him.

Your friendly, neighborhood Ghostbusters were there to lead the Zombie Walk through the streets of Downtown Phoenix.

The happiness radiating from this young man could be seen on the face of many in the Little Zombie Zone.

And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Zombie Walk without a bit of oddity. What do we call this one? Zombie Centaur?
