Calling all wine-o’s: It’s time to start building your tolerance and increasing your water intake, because the Urban Wine Walk is officially here.
The date is set for Saturday, May 17 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., when restaurants and bars along the light rail corridor will offer more wine and food samples than you can handle—and, yes, that’s a challenge.
Beginning the journey at the location of your choice, all you need is the map, positive spirit and an all-day light rail pass to experience the Phoenix wine scene. Walkers can expect to find two or three wine samples and snacks for $2 to $3 at each participating restaurant or bar.
Plus, the first 300 people will receive this year’s free stemless wine glass, which has as much class as its sponsor–the CityScape Residences. Just make sure to leave room in your plans for a tour of Downtown’s newest pad.
And don’t let the word “sample” fool you, those samples of wine can pack a powerful punch, so be safe and walk, take light rail, call an Uber, ride your bike, unicycle—whatever you have to do.
Stay tuned for more details, including a list and map of participating locations.
