The heavy clouds have dispersed, the sun is shining, and the streets are nearly dry, but traces of last night’s storm linger throughout the downtown and central Phoenix area.
Phoenix crews are working hard right now to fix damage caused by the crazy monsoon storm, which uprooted trees and poured one inch of rain in less than an hour downtown. News outlets have reported — as we nearly all experienced — heavy rain, heavy winds, flash flooding, lightning and thunder, and hail. Yes, hail.
And throughout the night, starting around sunset, downtowners were sharing photos from what’s sure to be one of the most memorable storms in years to come.
