Downtown Phoenix Inc. (DPI) is pleased to announce that a member of its senior leadership team has been selected to attend the inaugural Emerging Leader Fellowship Program hosted by the International Downtown Association (IDA).

Samantha Jackson, vice president of operations at DPI, will join Downtown Tempe Authority’s Miranda Edwards, Town of Queen Creek’s Jennifer Lindley, and 23 other emerging industry leaders from around the globe in a weeklong intensive program taking place in New York City this month.

The three Valley women are part of an experimental program that will assemble a wide variety of urban district management professionals to learn essential leadership and management skills, gain practical tools in the areas of place-based economic development, and integrate the live-work-play experience into public-private partnerships.
In addition, attendees will tour several business improvement districts in New York City, receive instruction from industry scholars and participate in technical in-the-field training led by IDA professionals. For more information about IDA and the Emerging Leader Fellowship Program, click here.
