Set against the backdrop of downtown’s historic Warehouse District, thousands of blood-thirsty zombies will come together Saturday, Oct. 29 for Zombie Walk 8 from 4-9 p.m., take over the streets at sunset, and pub crawl until 2 a.m.
Similar to years past, the Walk kicks off with a family-friendly street festival starting at 4 p.m. featuring DJs, vendors, a beer garden, zombification zone and food trucks. But this time, you’ll find it in a brand new location on the corner of Fourth and Jackson streets outside Chase Field. The festival is an all-ages event, perfect for the little zombies in your life.
SCHEDULE---Zombie-Walk-8At approximately 6 p.m., the one-mile zombie shuffle begins with a totally new route through the Warehouse District, passing by historic gems like the Arizona Hardware Supply Company (Dudley Ventures), Western Wholesale Drug Company (Alice Cooper’stown), Brickhouse Warehouse (Ezra Arthur), Neil B. McGinnis Equipment Co. (Vintage 45) — and many more.
After the Walk, stick around for the costume contest on the festival main stage at 7:30 p.m. This is where the most creative zombies really get to shine.
Zombie Walk has always been a charitable event and this year is no different. Co-presented by the Arizona Hemophilia Association (AHA) and Downtown Phoenix Inc. (DPI), all donations and pub crawl wristband sales will benefit AHA programs and services (in addition to keeping future Zombie Walks alive), so a $5 suggested entry is greatly encouraged.
In addition to a new location and new charitable partner, this is the first year Zombie Walk will have a $20 ticketed, adults-only Blood (pub) Crawl, which includes free entry (no cover) to fabulous Downtown Phoenix bars and restaurants, discounted food and awesome drink specials. With all wristband sales going directly to AHA, your night on the town goes to a great cause.

So send the child zombies home at 9 p.m. and quench your thirst for blood with some to-die-for drinks and non-human nibbles. Blood Crawl wristbands can be purchased in advance at the DPI offices (1 E. Washington Street, Ste. 230), online or at the festival day-of.
