Responding to population growth in the area, Banner Urgent Care will open a new location in Downtown Phoenix – becoming the only major urgent-care provider in the core.
Banner Urgent Care will be on the northwest corner of First and Washington streets, adjacent to the Valley Metro light rail stop at Central Avenue and Washington. Nearby parking will be offered for patients.
It will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week and offer treatment for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries such as cold and flu; ear, eye and throat infections; fevers; skin rashes; and sprains, strains and lacerations.
On-site X-ray and pharmacy services are also available. Most insurance plans and walk-in appointments are accepted. Appointments can also be scheduled online or by phone.
“We are excited to be coming downtown and becoming a community resource for this increasingly vibrant area,’’ said Robert Rohatsch, MD, CEO of Banner Urgent Care.
“Downtown Phoenix has always had a large number of daytime employees and now there are many more people who live in the area. It’s becoming a 24/7 area and we are proud to be a part of it.’’
Banner Urgent Care has been contacting large area employers including Arizona State University, University of Arizona and the Phoenix Convention Center to see how the healthcare organization can work with them.
