The Downtown Phoenix Farmers Market announced it’s moving to a new downtown location beginning Saturday, May 7.
Located within the Phoenix Bioscience Core at 720 N. Fifth Street, the new, larger location will bring expansion opportunities, and the ability to add more vendors in the coming months, according to the announcement.
“As Downtown Phoenix evolves and grows, the Downtown Phoenix Farmers Market stays strong and essential,” said Tanya Chakravarty, executive director of the market in a news release. “We are very excited about the partnership with the Phoenix Bioscience Core and how that will build our ability to serve our community.”
With more than 80 farmers and vendors selling fresh produce, ready-to-enjoy food, arts and more, this outdoor event brings more than 3,000 shoppers from across the Valley every Saturday to buy locally-grown produce and products.
At the new market location, you’ll continue to find live music, entertainment, chef demos, educational opportunities, activities for kids, and an eclectic vibe totally unique to Downtown Phoenix.
For the grand opening, the market will feature some brand new vendors like Yo! Donut with gluten-free and vegan donuts, Hoyo’s Kitchen with Somali sambosas and sauces, and Aaron Michael’s Concessions with fried catfish and chicken.
Also, for one Saturday only, Pachamama will return with its delicious plant-based Mexican food.
New summer hours of 7:30-11:30 a.m. also begin May 7.
