Waffles and ribs, flavorful salads, molasses-glazed pork belly and more. Okay, so now that we’ve got your attention, we’re here to tell you that a new restaurant, Barrel & Bushel, is now open at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Phoenix.
Be sure to stop by Barrel & Bushel for its grand opening patio party on Wednesday, Jan. 22 featuring all-day happy hour, food samples and raffles.
Barrel & Bushel serves up a menu of American comfort-style food, and an expansive craft beer list in a contemporary indoor-outdoor space complemented by a huge outdoor patio.
In addition to 11 Arizona beers on tap, there’s an extensive bourbon and whiskey selection, and plenty of craft cocktails.
The food menu is organized into shareable plates and salads ($12), burgers ($15), entrees ($24), sides ($6) and sweets ($6).
Whether you’re looking for a refreshing kale salad with candied pecans, or decadent cubes of mouth-watering, molasses-glazed pork belly, there’s a little something on the menu for everyone — even the kids.
An all-day kid’s menu is available for the little ones and features favorites like mac ‘n’ cheese, an all-natural hot dog or chicken strips, a grass fed beef burger, pasta and more.
In addition to the restaurant, an adjacent grab-and-go market also opened on the ground-floor of the hotel. Known as Barrel & Bushel Market, this quick-stop spot serves freshly made salads, pastries, yogurts, sandwiches and soups at the ready.
A selection of eight house-made gelatos are also available, as well as coffee drinks, and local retail products like honey and hot sauce.
If you’ve got a sweet tooth and some coins, you can also get a handful of candy from one of eight red antique-looking bubble gum dispensers.
Currently in soft-opening mode, Barrel & Bushel opens at the tail-end of a massive head-to-toe renovation of the Hyatt Regency.
Located on the northwest corner of Adams and Second streets, practically every corner of the hotel has undergone a complete refresh including a redesign of the ground-floor lobby and check-in desk, meeting rooms, third-floor pool deck and rooftop.
Each of its 693 guest rooms were also renovated to include new wood laminate flooring, big screen TVs, open-style shelving and updated lighting and decor.
