The month of March is filled to the brim with awesome music events, but it’s also a great time to eat and drink fabulous local fare. During the first week of March, food and cocktail enthusiasts are celebrating three big events presented by Devour Phoenix, a city-wide coalition of independent restaurants under the Local First Arizona umbrella.
bartenderthumbDevour Phoenix Bartending Competition – Sunday, March 1 — Crescent Ballroom – 2 p.m. – $25
Gathering in the mixology mecca of Downtown Phoenix, stand out bartenders from nine local restaurants craft, mix, stir and shake their best cocktails Sunday, March 1 at Crescent Ballroom.
Using the best Arizona-distilled spirits, competitors or “startenders” from across metro Phoenix battle for the title of Best Cocktail of the Valley 2015. For $25, guests can enjoy nine drink samples, one for each cocktail served, as well as neat-style tastings of the local spirits that went into making them.

Good food and wine is like a true work of art, which is why Palette to Palate blends visual and culinary arts into a unique dining experience. Held on the fabulous sixth floor balcony of the Renaissance, the event features local wine, award-winning chefs and regional artists.
By pairing five culinary experts with five painters, the two artists work collaboratively to inspire one another – making for a delicious and exciting sensory experience.

All the general admission tickets sold out to this highly anticipated culinary event, which runs March 7 and 8, but there’s still time to get the VIP treatment.
A limited number of Sunday VIP tickets remain, which includes entrance to the event one hour prior to start time, access to the VIP lounge, exclusive wine tastings and private chef demonstrations.
Meet and mingle with world-renowned culinary experts, purveyors and restaurateurs, while sipping and sampling the best food and drink in the state.
