The holidays in Downtown Phoenix are bigger, brighter, joyfuller and peacefullier than ever.
To prove it, our Holidays In Downtown events coverage has been expanded to capture festive happenings in the surrounding historic neighborhoods and burgeoning arts and retail hubs.
The result is an eclectic mix of spirited offerings that range from a free double feature in the park and the ultimate showcase of local holiday shopping to home tours, luminaria displays, a Pooh-tastic Downtown tradition and, yes, more performances of The Nutcracker than the Sugar Plum Fairy can shake her wand at.
We’ve also created an expanded holiday edition of the popular What’s Happening weekly guide to events, available at hotels, retailers throughout Downtown and, of course, at the Ambassador Information Center (101 N. 1st Ave.). The guide is also downloadable here.
