Though local events and parties are usually the best, they can sometimes be difficult to find. Let’s fix that. This weekend happens to be packed with plenty of things to do, all with that exclusive local flair.
Certified Local Fall Festival Saturday, Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
To kick-off this list of local events is Local First Arizona‘s annual fall festival that celebrates all things produced in Arizona. The event is free to attend, and there will be $1 food samples, $2 drink samples, food trucks, a beer and wine garden, and a variety of vendors selling gifts and products. There will also be a raffle with over 100 prizes donated by Local First Arizona members. This family-friendly (pet-friendly, too!) event will have crafts and activities for the mini-localists, as well as live entertainment by some of Arizona’s best musicians and performance artists.
Novembeer Every Saturday in November from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
That extra “e” isn’t a typo. The Fillmore Vig and Phoenix New Times have teamed up to bring you 10 beers for $10 every Saturday in November to celebrate–you guessed it–beer. Specifically, craft beer. Each weekend highlights a different style of craft beer. Go to one, or be a rebel, and go to them all. Here’s what you have to look forward to:
November 9: Stouts and Porters
November 16: IPAs and Pale Ales
November 23: Ciders & Fruit Beers
November 30: Seasonal and Specialty Beers
Phoenix Annual Parade of the Arts November 9 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
In its eighth year, PAPA will celebrate arts and culture that are a vital part of Phoenix. Kicking off at the Roosevelt Row A.R.T.S. Market, its purpose is to unite the arts with the greater community by providing an open to the public, mobile expression of Downtown Phoenix life. This New Times Best of Phoenix winner will include performances by local musicians and dancers, while circus entertainers and street performers provide demonstrations and workshops. Expose your child to a creative experience with fun activities, crafts and face painting. There will be food trucks and other vendors as well as a best float, best group, best bike, best costume and best “cute” contest.
Indie Rock Trivia Night November 10 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Test your trivia skills at Crescent Ballroom this Sunday and win great prizes including tickets and gift cards to the Crescent Ballroom. Enjoy food and drink specials while DJ Bruce spins in between games.
