Downtown Phoenix Inc. (DPI) is proud to announce the addition of two companies and two downtown business leaders to its investor and board of director rosters.
HKS Architects and Wexford Science + Technology were unanimously approved as new DPI investors on Jan. 26 and Mo Stein and Kyle Jardine will represent their respective companies on the DPI board as directors.
HKS Architects is a global architecture firm that was established in 1939 and headquarters in Downtown Phoenix at 821 N. Central Avenue.
Regional Director Mo Stein has been a luminary in the downtown business community for more than three decades and HKS has been a Member of DPI’s Membership affiliate Phoenix Community Alliance (PCA) dating back to the 1980s. Stein is a former PCA board chair and was instrumental in the conceptualizing and drafting of downtown’s 2004 strategic plan.
Wexford Science + Technology is the newest anchor tenant on the 30-acre Phoenix Biomedical Campus, recently opening its 227,000-square-foot, multi-use PBC Innovation Center in downtown’s Evans Churchill neighborhood at 850 N. Fifth Street.
Kyle Jardine serves as Wexford’s director of development for Wexford’s Phoenix market and is responsible for development, construction, marketing, leasing and operations.
The addition of new investors, coupled with PCA Membership growth, is a testament to the strength of downtown’s business community and further evidence that ours is a city on the rise.
“We are thrilled to add two exceptional business and community leaders like Mo Stein and Kyle Jardine to our board of directors,” said Mike Ebert, DPI board chair. “Their commitment to downtown and its continued success further strengthens our organization as we work to build a live/work/play/learn neighborhood that is inclusive, innovative and a point of pride for the entire region.”
