Falling behind on your holiday shopping? Phoestivus has you covered.
Returning at the Phoenix Public Market for its tenth year, the jam-packed holiday market will take place on Thursday, Dec. 12 and 19.
What is Phoestivus?
The two festive evenings feature handcrafted gifts from more than 200 small businesses — plus food trucks and picture-perfect photo ops.
Inspired by both the famed Christmas markets in Germany, Weihnachtsmarkt, and Seinfeld’s Festivus, the Downtown Phoenix event boasts traditions like the Pheats of Strength and the Airing of Grievances — and has created its own traditions unique to DTPHX.
What you can expect this year
At Phoestivus, you can shop and sip local with PHX Beer Co.’s Phoestivus Ale, brewed just for the event.
The market showcases a variety of jewelry, home goods, clothing and decorations by Arizona artists. You’ll also find a long list of locally grown and prepared foods, like farmer’s market favorites Los Muertos Salsa, Iconic Cocktail Co. and Proof Bread.
This year welcomes several new vendors, such as jeweler Little Fang Silver, and long-time Phoestivus artists like Tom Budzak.
In addition to some new things, Downtown Phoenix Inc. is bringing back the ever-popular “Hipster Santa,” with free photos in his Antique Sugar-decorated vintage studio. Other Instagram ops include the Arizona Federal photo bus and Phreddy the Yeti.
