Hospitality workers are some of the most impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. During these times of uncertainty, every little bit of help counts.
From relief grants and legal advice to assistance with electric bills and more, there are many resources for our friends and community members in the hospitality industry who’ve been impacted.
Arizona Office of Tourism – From housekeeping and hotel security staff, to customer service, IT and more, the Arizona Office of Tourism has compiled a list of employment opportunities in the tourism industry.
Door Dash Priority Access Program – This hiring program is specifically for food and beverage workers who have been laid off or reduced hours due to COVID-19.
Amazon – The online retailer is hiring shoppers, delivery driver or warehouse workers.
Fry’s – Due to increased demand, Fry’s is looking to hire employees immediately.
Safeway/Albertson’s – Immediately hiring employees to stock shelves.
APS Assistance Programs – A little help with bills can really go a long way. So, if you’re having trouble paying your electricity bill, rest assured that APS is waiving late fees and is suspending shutting off power. They’ve also various other assistance programs.
HKM Employment Attorneys – The Phoenix law firm has set up a free hotline for workers who need legal advice. For assistance, you can call 480-660-4377.
Arizona Department of Economic Security – State resource to apply for unemployment insurance benefits.
St. Joseph the Worker – A nonprofit organization helping people return to the workforce. Companies with employment opportunities and individuals looking for work are encourage to contact St. Joseph the Worker (SJW). Although the Human Services Campus location is temporarily closed, SJW recently opened a new location at 19th Avenue and Bethany Home that’s open to all.

Another Round, Another Rally – Chefs, servers, bartenders, dishwashers and beyond this nonprofit is here to lend a hand with $500 relief grants. Hospitality workers who lost their jobs or had hours cut due to COVID-19 are eligible to apply. If you’d like to donate to this organization, or know someone who would, share the funding page.
US Bartenders Guild National Charity Foundation – Providing resources for bar industry community including philanthropy and and grant programs.
The Restaurant Workers Community Foundation – The RWCF provides valuable resources to help restaurants and workers deal most effectively with the impacts of COVID-19 including links to relief funds, unemployment information, financial assistance; health, healthcare and prevention information and more.
