The Dilemma: You want to get out of the house and enjoy a meal at your favorite downtown restaurant but you’re not *quite* ready to return to a dine-in environment.

The Solution: Downtown Dine Out.

A pilot activation being launched under Downtown Phoenix Inc.’s Spread Your Wings campaign, Downtown Dine Out is designed to give the community another option for enjoying the neighborhood they love, safely, while supporting small businesses at a time when they need it most.

Thursdays and Fridays, Renaissance Square and CityScape Phoenix will be activated with additional tables, live music, and reimagined as a family-friendly outdoor dining area.

The community is encouraged to grab food from their favorite downtown restaurants, and enjoy a meal in the center of the city, without reservations.

The Downtown Dine Out activation is free to use, but not free from rules:

  • Cool people only (98.6-ish degrees) – if you’re not feeling well, please stay home
  • Spread your wings, not your germs – please wear a mask while you’re not eating/drinking
  • Please don’t bring alcohol from establishments into the street, unless it’s the good kind (hand sanitizer)
  • This is a family-friendly space, so no smoking please
  • Party like it’s 2020 — maintain a six-foot distance from other groups
  • Be patient, respectful, and mostly importantly, have fun!

Important Note: The Downtown Dine Out area is for takeout only —  no table service available. If you need help finding delicious takeout, check out this guide.
