Between the larger-than-life holiday décor, massive decked-out Christmas tree, and Santa’s sleigh (perfect for photo-ops), Arizona Center is transforming into an urban winter wonderland this month.

“This year has been such a struggle for everyone, so we really wanted to go all out this holiday season,” said Paola Cicuttini, vice president of marketing for Parallel Capital Partners, owner and manager of Arizona Center. “We wanted people to have somewhere to go where they can really feel the essence of the holidays. Of course, we are keeping safety a top priority. Merry Moments at Candy Candy Cane Corner is meant to just bring a smile to everyone’s faces.”

On Sat., Dec. 5, 12 and 19 from 3 to 5 p.m., Arizona Center’s Merry Moments at Candy Cane Corner will come alive with free hot cocoa from BoSa Donuts, carolers courtesy of Downtown Phoenix Inc., and a big dose of much-needed holiday cheer.

Annual downtown events like Phoestivus will be completely virtual this year. However, Phoestivus and Arizona Center are teaming up to ensure the traditions are kept intact. Antique Sugar, a Downtown Phoenix vintage shop, will recreate the iconic, retro Phoestivus Hipster Santa set behind a shop window at Arizona Center.

Merry Moments at Candy Cane Corner will also include a mailbox with direct service to the North Pole for the little ones to drop in letters to Santa (letters and envelopes provided).

Downtown’s Santa Glenn will also be there in spirit with a cardboard cutout of him next to the mailbox and sleigh.

This holiday season it is more important than ever to support our local businesses. You can find a full list of restaurants open for takeout, delivery and dine-in at dtphx.org/takeout. And, get your holiday shopping done – local jewelry, art, food, clothing, and more are for sale at Phoestivus.com.

P.S. Don’t forget to post photos from Arizona Center on social media using #MerryMoments and #dtphx.
