Over the next few years all eyes will be on Phoenix.

The city is set to host several major events including the 2023 Super Bowl, the 2024 NCAA Men’s Final Four and the 2026 NCAA Women’s Final Four. As crowds tour the streets of Downtown Phoenix, it’s the perfect time to showcase the work of our local artists.

Downtown Phoenix Inc. has partnered with the City of Phoenix and artist nonprofit, Artlink, to celebrate Phoenix’s culture with the “PHX Welcome Mural Project,” a large-scale mural on the side of the Regency Garage on Adams Street to welcome residents and visitors Downtown.

“Downtown has grown exponentially since the last time we hosted Super Bowl fan activities in 2015,” said Devney Preuss, President and CEO of Downtown Phoenix Inc., (DPI). “I hope this mural installation celebrates the distinct live, work, play, learn neighborhood and destination that Downtown Phoenix has become. For visitors new to our sidewalks, it will convey a sense of place and immediately connect them to our community in a way that only art can.”

At DPI, our Clean and Green Team will be building the large 190-by-10-foot façade that will be positioned near the entrance of the Phoenix Convention Center. The mural will be completed prior to the Super Bowl in February 2023.
