Sweet Harmony of Tradition: The Art of Japanese Wagashi - Creating Seasonal Confections with a Master Artisan from Himeji
A special workshop celebrating the delicate beauty and cultural heritage of wagashi—traditional Japanese confections that reflect the seasons and embody the spirit of Japanese hospitality.
In this immersive program, a master wagashi artisan from Himeji, Mr. Masashi Mori, will share the artistry, symbolism, and hands-on techniques behind these edible works of art. Participants will enjoy an artist talk and live demonstration before creating their own wagashi:
Mikan Daifuku – A soft mochi filled with sweet and slightly tangy mandarin orange.
Emidama (球体最中笑美玉)– A spherical monaka with finely textured, delicately sweet bean paste.
$100.
