Unveiled just in time for the excitement of the 2026 NCAA Women’s Final Four happening in Downtown Phoenix, "We Got Next", commissioned by Downtown Phoenix Inc., honors four local high school female basketball players as a tribute to the power and promise of women’s basketball.
"I wanted to empower real girls and women in our community, and decided to paint four high school girl basketball players. I did a ton of research—talked to coaches, went to games, and found four outstanding young women in our community who will be the future of the Final Four tournament, college athletes, and pro athletes—who we might even see playing for the Phoenix Mercury one day. I hope others can look at the mural and see themselves in these girls, too." (Antoinette Cauley)
