The main objective of the Downtown Y Residence Program is to offer assistance to adults in need of stable and independent living while helping them to obtain services from community agencies or government programs. The Residence Program also offers affordable housing for college students, those who choose to live and work in downtown, and for retirees on a fixed income. The multi-story residence features a women’s only floor with 17 single rooms; and four men’s only floors with 123 single rooms.
