After Brahms successfully debuted his Symphony No. 1 in 1876, the famed conductor Hans von Bulow declared it to be "Beethoven's Tenth." William Eddins leads the orchestra in this popular symphony, which progresses from tragic struggle to triumphant victory. The program also includes two remarkable works influenced by jazz and blues: Blush by Ayanna Witter-Johnson and Wynton Marsalis' Grammy winning Violin Concerto. $35 - $135.
