Join Phoenix Art Museum for a series of films inspired by special-engagement exhibition Multiple Realities: Experimental Art in the Eastern Bloc, 1960s–1980s, beginning at the end of May and continuing every Wednesday evening in June. Don't miss our special conversation with Zbig Rybczynski, a Polish-born filmmaker, artist, and innovator whose work is featured in the exhibition. Academy-nominated masterpiece Cold War paints a passionate love story set against historical upheavals across the Polish countryside and bohemian Paris. Wiktor, a musician on a state-sponsored mission to collect folk songs, discovers a captivating young singer named Zula in a performance for the ages. Their turbulent relationship plays out in stolen moments between the jazz clubs, bridged by their passion for music and for each other. $8.
