This striking contemporary sculpture is a generous gift from the artist and Pucker Gallery, in honor of Robert Mowry, and is a significant addition to the Art of Asia Collection at Phoenix Art Museum. Li Hongwei (b. 1980) is a contemporary artist working between Beijing and New York. His practice blends traditional ceramic methods, such as Qing dynasty glazes and crystalline glazing techniques, with modern sculptural expressions. His work is included in the permanent collections of leading institutions worldwide, including The British Museum; the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; The Art Institute of Chicago; The Israel Museum; Harvard Art Museums; and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Included with general admission.
