Celebrate the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday at the Carver Museum and Cultural Center by viewing a rare photo exhibit, Countdown to Eternity: Photographs of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., by Benedict J. Fernandez. Dr. King worked tirelessly during the last year of his life, extending his activism to speak out against America's involvement in the Vietnam War and the alienation and disenfranchisement faced by America's poor. Fernandez captured these images of King in 1967, documenting his efforts in campaigns across the country. The portfolio was later published in Rochester, N.Y., by Eastman Kodak Co. in 1989. $12.
