Welcome to the 'El Grito' Festival, an electrifying celebration of Mexican Independence Day celebrated right in the heart of downtown Phoenix! (FREE FAMILY EVENT) This popular Phoenix event, presented by City of Phoenix Councilwoman Betty Guardado, and the United Phoenix Firefighters Association Inc. which welcomed nearly 20,000 attendees last year, returns for its fourth magical year, featuring headliners, world famous cumbia artists Tropicalísmo Apache and Norteño sensation Dueto Las Voces del Rancho. Hosted by 96.5FM La Z’s very own Ericka Sanchez “La Pochita” and Humberto Luna “El Vaquero Pelotero, the celebration will also feature Phoenix favorites: DJ La Pachanga, Mariachi Rubor, and Banda La Parrandera! You won't want to miss these amazing performances!
Join the celebration and indulge in an exquisite array of authentic Mexican cuisine and beverages that will transport your taste buds directly to Mexico. (nearly 100 vendor booths) From margaritas, micheladas, aguas frescas, savory tacos to mouthwatering tamales, our festival promises a feast for your senses. (Must be 21 to drink)
