Celebrate your creativity at First Friday: Pride Night, an evening of interactive art experiences curated by thems.(@thems.phx)—a Phoenix-based queer art collective. Explore new art activations located throughout the Museum, highlighting the local artists and community programs that thems. hosts throughout the year. Featuring free general admission and programming, including:
Music by DJ J-M Lee (@jmelee) and Robertitx (@robertitx.mp3)
In-gallery sketching with Aileene Martinez (@look.see.draw)
Enjoy a relaxed drawing lesson with Kyana Mitchell (@paper.finches) while mingling with friends new and old
Create one-of-a-kind poems that double as visual art using collage techniques and poetry writing, led by Zane Frederick (@zanefrederickwrites)
Get hands-on with printmaking in a joyful, experimental session that mixes Legos and traditional block printing, led by Juan Oliveros Saldaña (@syntheticjuan)
Specialty food and beverage experiences with ARTenders, Bonzai Boyz (@bonzaiboysft), El Fogón de Joy (@elfogondejoy), and coffee drinks by Skoden (@skodencoffee)
Docent guided tours at: 5:30 + 6:30 pm (in English) 6 + 7 pm (in Spanish with bilingual Docents)
